SRRV Frequently Asked Questions

What is an SRRV? What does it do?

SRRV stands for Special Resident Retiree’s Visa. It is a special non-immigrant, multiple-entry visa issued by the Philippine Retirement Authority. Unlike the standard tourist visas and work permits, this means that you would be able to come and go into the country without the worry of annual visa renewals.

How else will an SRRV benefit me?

Some of the most notable benefits include being able to stay in the Philippines indefinitely, not having to renew your visa, and more.

- Indefinite residency in the Philippines

- Multiple‑entry privileges

- No annual visa renewal

- Exemption from ACR I‑Card, exit clearances, and re‑entry permits

- Duty‑free importation of up to USD 7,000 in household goods

- Tax exemption on pensions and annuities

- PRA assistance with government documents (LTO, NBI, DOLE, BIR)

- Option to invest the SRRV deposit (condo purchase or long‑term lease)

- Guaranteed repatriation of the deposit upon cancellation

- Access to PRA partner discounts and perks

- Easier study permits for dependents

Who is eligible?

Foreign nationals aged 40 and above, as well as former Filipino citizens, may apply. Eligibility varies depending on the SRRV program type.
